Modern Warfare 2: No Mods and Servers for PC version!

Its treachery I tell you treachery!

Call of Duty community manager Rob Bowling, also known as 'fourzerotwo', has confirmed in a podcast that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not support user-created mods. Worse, it will not support dedicated servers. PC gamers will have to suffer peer-to-peer connections, just like their console-owning cousins.

Mr. Bowling could offer no defence for this move, and simply stated that: "The team's focusing on having it very equal on every platform" and "We're doing a lot of work on the back end."

Previous PC versions of CoD have supported dedicated servers. Their absence will apparently make the game "much more accessible to the PC community as a whole."

Its shocking even DICE reacted the truth.

The executive producer for the Battlefield series has vowed on his Twitter that DICE will continue to back hard-core PC gamers the hilt: "Dedicated servers FTW. What ever secures a better online experience is a given for us."

that is lame we wont be able to have mods or dedicated servers.....it wuld just be like sitting there on xbox live hoping enough people come into the server to play

This also means the the there will be no DMN clan for Modern Warfare 2.

well fuck it we dont need mw2 cuz chances r it will be the same way as WaW were every1 thought it wuld be great and turn out to fail so they all came back to cod4 and only a few stay with the other ones

I didn't try the Multiplayer mode in WaW though.
Going back to WWII settings/old school is starting to get bored but that's just me.

WaW isnt that bad on multiplayer except there are alot of people there that r like lvl 55 at highest presteige and they suck and thats cuz they have cracked servers that people get on and one kill is like over 100 xp

Cancel your pre-order guys. If you just want the single player campaign, might as well download it online.

or rent the game out too to play Sp im doing that on ps3 and my friend geting it on ps3

what does dedicated mean guys?? ive notice it has to do wheter your LAN or internet but wat is it really??

Its like a user created servers that can allow either private or public. The DMN server is a dedicated server created by Tigy for free to allow the players to join especially clan members. You don't want to pay every month just to play online with your friends, do you?

So yeah
No Dedicated Server means No Clan Servers
That also means no DMN server in MW2

it will be ok.....we can all just stay on this game and we wont have to worry about it lol

well at least we have this 1. that is stupid thoguh with mw2. oh well. i guess for the title name of the server whenever one of us is one we put DMN every f**** time.HEHEHEHE SEE IF THEY CAN STOP US NOW!!! MUIAHAHAHAHAhA
